Rockin' Event Review: Beetle House LA

When you think of Tim Burton an iconic esthetic of creepy monotone whimsy comes to mind. That is the experience you get at the new pop-up theme restaurant Beetle House

When you walk in there is a lounge area and bar complete with tribute art and sculptures created by local artists.  lots and lots of selfie opportunities. The traditional dive bar also features some themes drink specials that are cleverly named.

There is plenty to see while you have drinks and you wait for your reservation to be called

They also had some truly spot-on character actors. The Willy Wonka character was especially talented at working the room and was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. He was an absolute hoot and filled his conversations with wonderfully perverted innuendos.

When we received our menus we were surprised by the prices. But what their advertisement doesn't clearly articulate is that you are paying for a dinner and a show. We were entertained the entire evening with dancing, singing, humorous in-character conversations and a freak show.
