Rockin' Event Review: #ArtDropDay

From Fargo to Florida and even in New Delhi, artists everywhere participated in #ArtDropDay on September 2nd.  World Art Drop Day was the brain child of illustrator Jake Parker. His inspiration was his family vacation from the past summer. He took a cross-country road trip over the summer and left art along the way for people to find!

The word spread through social media about this great way to make the world a more beautiful place. I wrapped up some hand-made gift tags. I posted the location on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. They were picked up by a coworker of mine.

I also loved seeing what others 'dropped' and who found the work.
Check out these two cuties! This adorable 'find' was posted on Instagram.

"So these two little rugrats came to me with there cuteness overload and asked me 'Excuse me, lady, do you have tweet insaflam or fb? We found this art and it's art drop day but we have no... Euh tweet, do you? And can you put it on there?' Well sure I can #artdropday #littleArtrats #adorablemuch oh and I asked for tough face's this is what I got! #justkids"-@kykykong

And I just love this story tweeted by @ashley24taylor!

World Art Drop Day will take place each year on the first Tuesday of September. Who knows, maybe Steven Tyler will leave some rockin' art next year?!
